FORMULA E - LEAP OF FAITH

Created at REWIND in collaboration with Formula E and Little Dot Studios, this 360° experience takes viewers behind the scenes on a crazy stunt.

If you’re going to backflip over a speeding race car the internet is going to call it fake. The 360° video gave audiences a new view point and allowed them to see that the only thing helping Damien Walters perform the death defying stunt was nerves of steal and a heap of talent.

Hitting 1 million plus views in the first 48 hours this video acted as the perfect supporting piece to the hero film. 

THREE - FASHION WEEK

Created at REWIND and partnering with Three and Magic Leap we created a mixed reality live show above the catwalk at Central St Martins Fashion Week show.

Using elements from the designer’s collection this retro carnival inspired experience was given to AAA guests. 

The activation was the first shared multi-user event featuring Magic Leap and combined bleeding edge tech with a traditional show calling setup. 

Gaining global attention for Three’s 5G role out, the experience was featured in broadcast and online news coverage around the world.

Samsung - punch drunk

A woman approaches you in a crowd and takes you off to a secret room. In the room she gives you a VR headset to put on. Tentatively you try it on, you find yourself in the same room in the virtual world...A frantic story unfolds that finds you face to face with a mysterious figure, he tries to grab you but his hand passes through you. Your headset is suddenly removed and he’s standing in front of you. He reaches out and touches your lips before disappearing into the darkness. 

Created at REWIND this immersive theatre/virtual reality hybrid, we partnered with Punch Drunk and Samsung to create an exclusive experience for guests of The Samsung Maison at Cannes Lions that would go on to win a Silver Lion the following year.Blending performance and video to create a mind bending experience that left guests questioning where the experience ended and reality began.

BBC - TOP GEAR

3 CRAZY STUNTS AND 1 CRAZIER CAMERA RIG!

Challenged by the BBC to put audiences in the driving seat of their Stunt Driver Try-outs. We jumped real life radio control cars off a 7 metre high ramp at high speed.

Working with series director Jon Richards, we were responsible for bringing the madness of TV show to life in 360° video.

With custom built camera solutions and post pipeline to match, I led the time at REWIND who brought this slice of insanity to life.

SEGA - POWERFIST

Created at REWIND in collaboration with Sega and Hope & Glory PR this project brought to life a game prop and made it real.

In game the Powerfist can punch through the side of a tank, our pneumatic powered replica could go through a brick wall! Press were treated to a range of destructive opportunities including smashing a dolls house and plasterboard wall.

WELSH NATIONAL OPERA - MAGIC BUTTERFLY

Created at REWIND in collaboration with the WNO, Magic Butterfly is two VR experiences aimed at different audiences. The experience toured Wales before going on to Hong Kong and the V&A as part of their opera season. Magic Butterfly picked up multiple award nominations and three wins.

Madam Butterfly used mocap performance capture to create an “impossible staging” of Madam Butterfly with Cio-Cio-san forming out of a swarm of butterflies. Created using a combination of Unity and Houdini the experience pushed the limits of what can be achieved on the Google Daydream platform.

Magic Flute was aimed at a younger audience and encouraged interaction with the music through drawing shapes in the air to call the cast of animals out of the woods.

WELSH NATIONAL OPERA - RHONDDA RIPS IT UP

Created at REWIND in collaboration with the WNO this location specific experience combined Augmented Reality with Immersive Theatre.

To celebrate the launch of the WNO’s new operetta Rhondda Rips it Up! the experience debuted at Sessions House in Usk and brought the spirit of Rhondda back to the courthouse she was tried in!

An AR experience was created that controlled all elements of the room from the performance to the sound and lighting.

BBC - STRICTLY COME DANCING

Created at REWIND in collaboration with the BBC as part of their Taster platform. This 360° put audiences in the centre of the dance floor during the professionals dance. With choreography designed to make the most of the 360° view point this experience still stands strong as an example of what immersive video can offer when it is approached by the right team.

1XTRA - FIRE IN THE BOOTH

O2 - BIG UP

Louis Walsh the most relentlessly positive of all of the (former in Louis’ case) X-Factor judges joined O2 to “Big You Up” via a set of social media videos – just making people feel great and, most of all, rewarded.

Recording 100+ videos to “Big You Up” in direct response to the tweets coming in the reach was huge!

Across social channels there were over 1,800 messages about the activity from members of the public, celebs and the media. Those delivered over 11 million organic impressions and reached 7 million people in the space of 48 hours. All in, we hit around 2,500 pieces of editorial coverage.

HOLIDAY AUTOS - sCENTS of summer

Created at REWIND in collaboration with Holiday Autos and Hope & Glory PR this tweetable vending brought the commuters of Slough a scent of Summer.

The vending machine was hacked so commuters were able to add credits by tweeting with our hashtag. With the credit added they were able to collect their bottle filled with a scent of the summer. The scented bottles included the smells of freshly cut grass, sun cream and the seaside.

What started as an April fools joke ended up winning and a Chip Shop award, was featured in Mashable and received genuine offers of investment.

To launch Monolens - our AR enhanced monocle, we created product designs, a concept video and a kickstarter inspired making of video. The results were so convincing that a number potential investors got in touch to offer their support to this “ground-breaking product”… if only it were real!

Created at REWIND in collaboration with TRO and Nissan for the new GT-R.

Strap in for high speed laps of Monza Race Track, Milan and Millbrook test track. Shot using the Nokia Ozo the experience was built into a motion platform that let audiences feel the break neck speeds and tight turns of the courses.

Deployed on Windows Mixed Reality headsets at viewing locations across the globe and shared across Facebook and YouTube, this experience brought the party in Russia to the world!
